Losing Weight: It’s All In The Mind

Published by midnighteden at 12:24 pm under psychology of dieting Edit This

red_apple.jpg There are many different methods available to achieve weight-loss. You only have to look along the shelves of any bookshop and you will find a variety of ways to lose weight effectively. A new diet to hit the stands is the GenoType Diet by Dr Peter D’Adamo. This diet is endorsed by Oprah Winfrey and is proving highly effective because it is not a one-size fits all diet, but rather it allows for differences in people’s bodytypes, genes and lifestyle and modifies the diet approach that person should take accordingly.

In order for a diet to be successful and more importantly in order to keep the weight off long-term, then you need to ensure that your state-of-mind is right and that your attitude will carry you through. Let us look then at the areas we need to spend time considering before we embark on any weight-loss program.

  • Why Do You Want To Lose Weight?
  • What Is Your Goal?
  • Focus On the Positive.
  • Give Yourself Rewards

We tend to think that losing weight is dependent entirely upon what we do or do not put into our mouths. What would make the process of losing weight easier and more effective for all of us, would be discovering that the biggest part of any diet is what goes on in our heads. Getting this part right, at the start, will ensure that your weight loss goals are met that much more quickly and easily.

Ive decided that as far as dieting is concerned if I don’t think about my weight that it stays much better under control than if I agonize over it LOL
